Recently the Elbow Fire Department received a call from PA 911 Discpatch to respond to a rural fire. It turned ou to be a controlled burn.

In the future any call that the Elbow Fire Department responds to will result in charges as per our Fire Protection Services Agreement, regardless of whether it is a controlled burn or not.

All rural ratepayers must contact PA 911 Dispatch at 1.866.404.4811 to report all controlled burns. Failure to do so will result in the property owner being invoiced for the call out.

We would like ALL ratepayers to institute this policy regardless of where you live in the RM or which fire department you receive services from. Thank you fo your assistance with this matter.
